According to the U.N.’s latest “happiness index”, Canada is the 6th happiest country in the world! (out of 187 countries indexed). Not bad at all!
The United Nations Human Development Index 2011 considered factors such as income, education, health, life expectancy, economy, gender equality and sustainability when determining where in the world people live the best lives. To put that in perspective, not surprisingly Norway ranked first and the Democratic Republic of Congo came last. The United Kingdom came in 28th while the United States ranked 4th.
