Sounds pretty simple. However, being a business buyer myself, I am continually amazed by the absence of the little things that block the opportunity to buy.

Plotting The Clock – Time Management

Here are some real life suggestions proven to work:

In North America, it is considered acceptable to work 50 hours a week. These 50 hours can be divided up in to five 10 hour days. A week has 168 hours. Therefore, about 30% of a week is devoted to working, about 30% to sleeping (absolutely necessary for the brain to function properly), and 40% for everything else. That’s not much time. Let’s make the most of it.

Block off every Monday as BLANK. Absolutely NO scheduled appointments, except your Sales Strategy Session in the morning with your respected advisor. Mondays are bad enough. Take the day to breathe, take in calls, get organized, plan for the year, month, week and day. Do the critical things you need to do to keep yourself in business. Then get going! [Read more...]
